Hummingbird Hawk-moth

The first visit of the summer to the garden from a Hummingbird Hawk-moth - two days behind my Mother's Scunthorpe garden visit.

    I love to see these insects; talk about convergent evolution! You got great shots of them. I'm curious to know your shutter speed.

    Exposure: 1/125 sec
    Aperture: 5.6
    Focal Length: 210mm

    It was dusk hence the high iso

    I haven't seen a Hummer this year yet. Nice pics (for a compact camera) I didn't know that you had Red Valerian in your garden too?
