There are now up to five Great-spotted Woodpeckers visiting the garden (family party of three juvs and two adults) as well as a couple of Nuthatch, numerous Goldfinch and Chaffinch, hordes of Great, Blue and Coal Tits and family parties of Robin and Dunnock. The Carrion Crow is still up to its antics, chasing and sometimes catching the Wood Pigeons and has even mastered hanging off the nut feeder. It was inevitable with all this activity that it would attract the local predators with a male Sparrowhawk seen dashing through a few times but so far without success at catching a meal.
Fantastic pictures! GS Woodpeckers seem to have had a good breeding season family parties all over at the moment.
