Northern Potoo
As previously written we had three separate Potoos on this trip which is unprecedented for us. We hadn't realised quite how big the Northern Potoo is and it was a spectacular sight watching it catching moths and returning to the same branch each time. It was also our first attempt at night-time digiscoping as for the first time in probably 25 years we did not take a SLR camera, this bird was directly above us which made it even more difficult. Hard to see here but these birds have an enormous mouth with huge gape and massive eyes, always becomes an extension of the branch it rests on making it hard to detect in the day but big eye shine gives it away at night.

Very much like The Potoo video and Ant Thrush too. For some reason your bat video seems low res? Like all the pictures are you going to write about the Bees?
